First of all I am an absolute beginner with subtitles; not with encoding.
What I have is an avi File and a subtitle file called old.sub and old.idx.
I installed Vobsub and it can view the movie and select several subtitles.
Now my problem: I want to create a SVCD with ONE permanent subtitle.
The file old.sub contains several subtitles. What I tried is to convert the avi to mpeg2=> works fine. Then I tried a programm called WinSubMux.
This looked very easy because there is a field to open the avi and fields to open subtitle file(s)
so I tried with ol.avi and old.sub, hit the mux button and all I got is "There are no subtitles".
So what do I have to do?
If there is a guide for that sorry for my question, but I havenīt found one.
I have the strange feeling I have no idea what I am doing........
