burned subtitles

I encoded a movie w/ subs nd when i watch the movie they are burned in. How can i remove the subs so that they are selectable w/o re-encoding the movie? thx in advance.

Sorry, but i think that you can't do anything to recover the movie. You must obtain the original sources again...

Are you sure that subs permanently in movie? Some players can select subs file automatically. Or else I rather encode again the movie.
