View Full Version : Using Subrip to convert VobSub (.sub) to .srt text format?

I have a .sub file that I want to add to an OGM movie. Oggmux takes .srt files for subtitles. I'm trying to convert the .sub file to a .srt subtitles text file. The problem is that the subtitle characters are close together and the OCR does not recognize the individual characters, just whole words.

Is there a way to correct this so that it recognized the individual characters?

If not, is there a way to add subtitles to an OGM file using a VobSub .sub file?

Thanks.

You can also try SubResync to do this.. But in both programs you can adjust the Sub title sensitivity.. which should be able to then adjust it so it only will find one letter instead of the word its in the options somewhere i don't have the program installed right now so you would have to look for it. in SubResync this setting is located right on the Save Dialog.

Try to decrease the space between characters value (default is 8)

Have you set white text on black w/o outline in color dialog right after start?

When yes, there is no other solution then to write the whole words. I have 1 DVD with this present - Snow White & ...
