I was having problems loading and creating subs with the first 1.04, but those issues have been resolved and ver 1.04a is now availible to download.
Update info from website:
Added: support for three subtitle formats: DKS Subtitle Format, MPlayer and MPlayer 2
Added: "Output settings". Here you can change the font, color, alignment, etc. that Subtitle Workshop should write, when saving a file in SAMI, SubStation Alpha or SubViewer 2.0 formats.
Added: command line support (silent mode).
Added: "Allow more than one instance running" option.
Added: "Load file after using "Save as..."" option.
Added: some icons in the menus for a better look.
Added: progress bar for Search & Replace.
Added: match whole words for Search & Replace.
Added: "Recalculate time values" option for split and join subtitles.
