No subtitles in OGM (bug of WIN98SE ? AMD K6-2 ?)

Hello,

I'm trying to mux a Xvid (video), ogg (audio) and .srt (subtitle) into a OGM file using oggmux 0.91.
When I play the file with WMP6.4 I have no subtitle.
If I demux the ogm (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=32909), I have only a video and an audio stream . No subtitle.

My .srt file is fine I thing

oggmux doesn't give me any error message, I don't forget to press the add button for the subtitles.

I really understand. Is it related to WIN98SE ? or AMD K6 (incompatibilities with the oggsubtiltes filters, in oggmux - I said that because there was some problem with the directshow filter of ogg and also with some new Xvid build) Does anybody has got a K6/WIN98SE and is able to make subtitles ?

if yes, what is my mistake ? I removed the extended format of the .srt file. is there some trick I shall know ?

My configuration is
AMD K6-2 400, WIN98SE (reinstalled last week), ogg filtre, ogg subtiltes, xvid (Umaniacs built), ffdshow.

i have problems displaying subtitles muxed into .ogg-files, too.

bs-player's internal routine displays them for the first few (about 3,5) minutes of the movie but ceases to afterwards.
installing directvobsub gave me a nothing but a blank screen with a broad pink to turkise top border, so i immediately uninstalled it and ticked it off as unusable for me.
zoomplayer refuses to start playing the movie with a division-by-zero error message, whereas the standard windows media player (6.4 of course, not the v7 hog) crashed with a page fault in subtitds.ax, tobias' subtitle dshow filter.
the .srt-files play flawlessly when loaded into the player separately though.

may there be a bug within tobias' subtitle dshow filters? i remember having read something alike in other posts. and if there is, is there a way to get around this issue apart from completely ignoring ogg's theoretical feature to contain subtitles and just always loading subs separately?
i am running win98se and an old riva tnt gpu (yes, i know it's outdated - slightly) if this helps.
