i'll try and make this quick.
ripped subs with SubRip 1.035 and saved ouput as Scenarist file. brought them into Scenarist and they show up at the proper times in the track editor. however, when i simulate the track to check everything out, the subs they are way out of sync. same thing when i author and burn the DVD. i even tried doom9's "hardway" sub-rip process.
i've checked the .sst file and all the times are correct. here's the start of the file....(Scenarist output from SubRip)
st_format 2
Display_Start non_forced
TV_Type NTSC
Tape_Type DROP
Pixel_Area (2 479)
Display_Area (0 2 719 479)
Color (9 3 4 3)
Contrast (15 15 15 0)
E2 (0 0 255 ===)
E1 (255 0 0 ===)
PA (0 0 0 ===)
BG (255 255 255 ===)
Directory C:\DVD\miyazaki\subs\eng

SP_NUMBER START END FILE_NAME

.
2646 03:55:59:29 03:56:01:04 eng.2646.bmp
for the record...this is an anime DVD that is 4:3 NTSC 29.97fps. i transcoded with CCE. i didn't need to do pulldown on it at all. nothing tricky going on here. in fact...everything (audio, menus, etc.) works great except for my sub sync issue. if i can't figure this out then i'm going to have to brush up on my japanese. i'd rather figure this out.
anyone had this problem? better yet, anyone got any suggestions?
if you need more info let me know.
thx in advance.
