i have a avi file that is rip from dvd


but when i rip the file i din add any subtitle with the encoding process...

can i know how do i add a permement subtitle to the dvix file. wat is the program i can use to do that. i read about using the submux. but i cant seem to find this file in any search engine

Look Gabest's signature and you'll find it.
It's part of VobSub package.

thanks but i see that it cannot insert the subtitle into the avi file permemently .....


is there any way i can insert the subtitle into the avi movie permemently????

do i have to reencode the movie agian with vdub ?

also can i place the subtitle on the top of the movie ???

Yes you can place the subs on the video during playback use DirectVobsub in the VobSub package.. Just name you subs like.
movie.avi
movie.idx
movie.sub
if you have them in the idx/sub format if they are a srt or something just
movie.avi
movie.srt etc..

And directvobsub will put them on the video during playback..

i know it will be able to playback if i have direct vobsub....

i have read that i can multiplex the subtitle into the avi file but when i try, it wont work at all. the movie will stop less than a second.... :confused:


also when i use the directvobsub. my movie will have a serious audio out of synn. :sly:
