I have tried this new Media Player Classic in Win2000 and can't show subtitles. Is it so that subtitles work only in WinXP and is there maybe coming a release that can show subtitles also in Win2000.

No. I'm hoping that maybe dx9 will have the renderer of xp for other platforms, but I don't know anything about it.

hi pals,
i'm entering this 3d 'coz i've seen it's media player classic related and gabest is in it! :)

maybe an already answered question: i've tried 6.4.0.1 and 2 but neither *disables* IMHO the screensaver or the screen blanking? if it's so, i think this feature should be prioritized in next releases...

btw, gabest : *GREAT* prog and take ur time! :D
tnx

There is a link for a new test version in the mpc topic. Try that one :)

I finished installed XP on my system and set Windows Media Classic as a default program for my .avi files.
The problem is that I cannot view subtitles, and the Subtitles submenu in the context menu is disabled. This subs work fine if I use VobSub.

Somebody can help me?

Tks

Is VMR turned on in the options?

Mmmm... no. I activate this option now.
Now the movie plays in a separate window but the subtitle submenu remain unavailable.

Version 6.4.3.1 for XP.
It says that for subtitle display need to select VMR7 or 9 on first property page... but I don't see it anywhere. Which first property page? Little confused....
