I found a little bug in the ogg subtitle filter

the resizer only adjust in the vertical direction to hit the 4:3 ratio
If the movie is at litle bit taller then this, it cut's some of the bottom pictures.

this is not the worst part
the cut-off area is redrawn in the top, making it flicker in the top

Adjustinj the aspect ratio to 4:4 (taller pictures)in the subtitle filter remove this flicker, as now there are room for the video to be drawn in full.

The rezise routine has to be adjustet to also scale in width if the source are taller then 4:3 material.

this happens alot on 4:3 tv-series materail (freinds sereis 1 episode 1-8 region 2)

The aspect ratio intervention of Ogg subtitle plug-in is useless (players do it better) and quite annoying at all. :(

I didn't find a way to bypass it.

i thougt that ogg subtitle filter did the resize to get black bars to have the text in, instead of having the text in the video area

(e.g. if you have 16:9 movies on a 4:3 monitor)

You can try and use DirectVobSub to extend the video to add black borders so you can have DirectVobSub place the Muxed subs into the black area.. and yes DirectVobSub can play Ogg Subtitle DS muxed Srt files.

I can't understand what you mean, you have *lot* of black bar space using 16:9 and 2.35:1 movies without changing anything, maybe the problem could appear with 4:3 content in 4:3 monitor...

or with 16:9 content on 16:9 monitor / TV
?
