Thanks for implimenting the Maestro suggestions so quickly.

I have not had time to try it out with VOBs greater than 2 Gig but the even values function for Maestro works nicely.

Also the one or two minor glitches I previously noticed seem to have been fixed.

I have to report some bugs, I don't know if I am doing something wrong, if I am, please enlight me :)

Sonic Scenarist output with NTSC VOBs seems to be not working.

I think it is because screen resolution is 720x576 by default, and u can't change it when in sst mode. I manage to have a 720x480 output in sst mode, but the .sst file reported 720x576 to Scenarist an it couldn't load the subtitles.

I'll second that, NTSC subs do not work, output as pal...now to get back to the old version....bugger, I've overwritten it :(

I'm sorry to report that VOBs still need splitting.

Looks like things are still the same with Subrip only ripping the first 20 mins of large VOBs.


PS The suggestion from Olleman for automatically ripping all subtitle streams is an excellent one...

I made test on 2,17 GB VOB and all gone right.

Please, be more specific.
-What's the MB value of break (it's under progressbar)?
-It ends without some warning message?

To me works flawlessly.

I have used unique VOB with only subtitles, demuxed for the main VOBs with DVD Decrypter 3.1.2.0 (hey guys, this one rips perfectly, I can't still recommend SmartRipper... it has often problems to rip without sporadic sound/video errors! :mad: ).

Just 2 quetions: :confused:
Which is the most spreaded/advised sub-title format? (SRT?)
Does Ogg supports (by SubTitDS or not) also other formats different from SRT?

OGM supports only ".srt" files to be included in the container (internally), but of course, as you know ;), you can use VobSub subtitles (.idx/.sub) - even you can compress the .sub file using WinRar and use (.idx/.rar) - externally together with OGM files.

Sorry for being a bit vague with my post.
I can't remember which film I was ripping but it was in the 6 - 7 Gig region and the progress bar showed that it had ripped all of a 20 min VOB (If memory serves me right).

I have just downloaded Subrip 1.033 and it looks as things are working okay now.

I have just ripped Highlander which is just under 6 Gig (No Stream Processing) and Blade which is 4,225,860 KB after stripping the audio.

It looks as things are okay as Subrip appears to have ripped the full lenghth of subtitles from both films.

If I come across any similar problems I'll make sure that I post a more detailed description as I really should know better.

Things are looking good at the min.

It isn't a problem but you might be interested to know that the status bar gives an unexpected report in that it appears to have ripped a larger chunk of a small VOB.(Screen capture from ripping Highlander enclosed.)

This isn't a problem as it appears that Subrip has ripped the full VOB eventhough the status bar doesn't look to make sense.
For the record I tend to use SmartRipper 2.41 for ripping/stripping DVDs incase this has bearing on anything.
