Blackhawk Down won't show forced subs

Hi,
I've ripped Blackhawk Down with DVD2SVCD, but can't get the forced subs to show up. I've searched the forum and still don't understand how to do this. Is there a guide somewhere I could read, or does somebody know how to do this. I've already found in the forum where somebody has already listed the forced subtitles that should be in the movie.

Hi

I encoded BHD to a 3cd divx 5.02 set with ac3. I noticed that when you crop the black borders off, you lose the subtitiles. I wonder why they mastered the dvd that way? :( Whats the point of putting the subtitles down there? They looked like a last minute thing to.
The subs only appear in two scenes for a sentence or two and thats it.

Can I "paint" these subs on to the already encoded divx file?

No problem. I guess what I'm trying to find out is how to put only the subtitles I want in the mpeg2 file. Maybe someone more experienced than us can help us newbies out.
