I have downloaded an .srt subtitle file and I want to add it to a movie using VobSub,wich is provided with GKnot.In other words,I just want to know if there is a way to convert .srt to .idx/.sub(for vobsub).

No, you can't convert but if you put the .srt file in the same directory where your movie is and rename it my_movie_name.srt you'll be able to see subtitles in your movie.
