View Full Version : ? SubMux (vobsub) creates too large files!

Hi!

I muxed an ogm with vorbis sound (~200 MB) with ssa subtitles (embedded font), but the resulting file was about 720 MB instead of about 200...

I used Submux 2.15 included with Vobsub 2.15.

Is this a bug or because of the embedded fonts?

Try multiplexing your files in graphedit and check if the output is ok then. Submux is doing the same thing, just it connects the filters and presses run internally.

Edit: Another idea. In submux remove one of the source files to see which one may cause the generation of the bigger output.

Graphedit muxes more or less fine.

What is irritating, is that when clicking 'mux' a windows pops up: 'Properties of Muxer Settings' (The window is in German). I can set some avi-settings there... But no avi is involved... Very strange.

I removed the ssa-file and only used the ogm-file, but still this avi-window pops up and the resulting file is about 700 MB.

Did you set the output format type to ogm at the save as... dialog box? Only when muxing into avi should the avi muxer's ppage come up.
