Apparently PAL users have sync issues. You absolutely do not need to alter the audio if you are working with NTSC.

Yes. You're right! I'm a PAL user ;)
But I dont know why this should be the reason....
So any suggestions ?
Is there a better way for correcting the time-delay?
As I said AC3 Delay Corrector only cuts/adds multiples of 32ms. :(

Yeah it's quite insane... :D
I did the following with the last dvd:
-r*pped movie to hdd with dvddecrypter into one vob-file
-demuxed movie .m2v and .ac3 files with vobrator
(the movie had to 2 vob ids so I got 2 m2v and 2 ac3 files)
-loaded all files in maestro
-put both m2v files into the timeline
-used function "create sync audio track" and added the ac3 files to their m2v files
(ignore ac3 timecoded is set to OFF in the project settings)
-activated "sync to audio timecode"
-compiled the project
The result played fine on my standalone and was 100% sync. :)
But I'm not sure if its correct to activate "sync to audio timecode" or not.

Yeah, I think they are just confusing themselves over there. :D As for "sync to audio timecode", I'm not sure. I don't do things that way. In fact, I really only use Maestro for my TiVo->DVDR stuff. I use Scenarist for all DVD->DVDR stuff. As for "ignore ac3 timecode", you are exactly right. This should not be checked.
