Use Subcreator to handle subs and convert them to SSA to merge with a 16:9 DivX AVI in Virtual Dub. Is there a way to get the subs under the picture, in the black border field. Now they are at the bottom of the picture. You can position the subs everywhere but under the movie in Subcreator. Does any other program make this, Subtitle studio for example?? I know this can be done with Vobsub, ripping and converting a DVD. But I am now talking about a whole bunch of downloaded DivX to get subtitles.
