DVobsub and Windows98 SE?

Hi,

Has anyone been able to get DVobsub to work with Windows98? Installation of Vobsub goes smoothly but it can't seem to register dvobsub.ax. I can't seem to register it manually either. I tried it with v2.14.

Strangely enough an older version of VobSub (2.09 IIRC) does register dvobsub.ax without problems on W98 SE, but unfortunately doesn't have all the nice configuration options that 2.14 has.

A friend of mine also complained about this. He's using Win98SE, I'm using Win2k. I used to use Win98SE as well until a few months ago, and I remember DVobSub having no problems at all back then.

So is it true that the newest versions of DVobSub no longer work on Win98SE?

I've got the same thing. On my Windows XP PC it does work with no problems. But on my Windows98 SE PC it doesn't. I have this second PC set up as a DivX PC so it would be nice if DVobsub would work here too.

Edit: BTW, I'll try and regenerate the error when dvobsub.ax is trying to register under W98SE and post it here later today.

I use 98SE too.

I observe only this problem...
When I using DVobSub 2.14 with ZoomPlayer, win-error is generated.

I load 'test.exe' (any alternative compilations of v2.14, gabest?) from gabest's site and all is O.K. ;-)
