How do I convert .smi to .sub or .srt?

.smi is bcoming an increasingly more popular format for subs in DivX-movies, I guess because the ease of use with WMP. Nevertheless, at times, some of the more rare subtitles can be found only in .smi, and I hope someone can tell me how to convert these subs into something useful.

i belive SubResync in the vobsub package can convert smi to sub or srt formats.. other then that you might wanna look at doom9's download full listing page and see if there is another utility that does that..
