Hallo All,

Have anybody any idea?

Thanks Vanda.

Hi!
Could you be more specific? I actually compiled MaestroSBT in XP, so there's no particular problem with that OS. Please detail all the keys and click you do after opening MaestroSBT, so I can help.

I have a few questions about MaestroSBT, and since you compiled it you might be able to help me.

I am converting .ssa subs to something that scenarist would be able to read...

Why does it make a bunch of new .bmp files if I already have all the files necessary?
Why do the files that it makes just represent graphically their own name? (EX. one.bmp if you open it just shows an image "ONE.BMP")

And finally, how do I make a working subfile for Scenarist?

Thanks.

Instead, if you don't have the bitmaps, you have two ways of creating subtitles (which are bitmaps when stored in the DVD): one is letting Scenarist render the bitmaps for you, in a way in which you have a reasonable control of the results (you cannot use MaestroSBT for that), or you can provide the bitmaps to Scenarist from an outside source, where you have then all the control you might want (you can use MaestroSBT for most of the work, and Photoshop to add strange things like rabbits for follow-the-white-rabbit and such).

I don't understand the question. You should get bitmaps with the titles (dialogs) on them.

There's a mini-guide for it in MaestroSBT's readme. However, Scenarist is a very complicated tough powerful program, so you might sweat quite a bit until get it working properly.

The programm to use was S3Cnvtr.exe. It takes subrip .bmp and .ssa files and makes a .sst file, with a cool 3:2 pulldown feature,

still I am having a weird problem,

Subs, which I ripped from the original vobs of "A Beautiful Mind" NTSC 29.97 version, work fine (with the 3:2 pulldown) other wise they are not in sync............ BUT, starting with chapter 13 (Go Figure!!!) they get displaced by about 2-3 seconds, the displacement, as far as I can judge, stays constant till the end of the movie...

Anybody got the same problem? Any suggestions or comments?

Can't help with that. I don't have much experience with ripping. :(
