I'm trying to learn a bit about dvd-encoding and on my way to knowledge I came across subtitles. :)
I prefer not to use programs such as DVD2SVCD, since I want to feel that I did something and I want to have the encoding under control.
Now my problem is, subtitles, I've extracted them successfully to BMPs, but I do not know where and how to proceed. I noticed that DVD2SVCD also extracted and then generated a txt, after that they used an avisynth plugin.
Is there any way I can recreate this process, or do I simply have to disable all the vob-ripping, rip the subs and then abort when dvd2svcd continues to the next stage? I rather not though, feels pretty cheap.
Oh, right. I'm talking about permanent SVCD subs.
