Hi, I'm from Norway (so don't complain about my english, please...), and I have a question about the divx5-guide/Gordian Knot/Subtitles...
The new divx5-guide says:
2 files will be created in the directory you've provided: vts_01_0.idx and vts_01_0.sub. Use Winrar to compress the .sub file to vts_01_0.rar, then delete the .sub file. You don't have to perform this compression, however, if you do you can bring down the size of the subtitle file to below 1MB per audio stream which is a considerable gain.
Yes, these two files were created. But later in the guide:
Then the subtitles. Here you are at a crossroads: If you want permanent subtitles press the Select VobSub Files button and select the ifo file from the 3 files that VobSub has created for you.
Ifo file? The only ifo file I could find was the one which was created in Smartripper. That file sure didn't work! I then tried with the idx file that was created in GKnot/Subtitile/Configure, and guess what; the subtitles worked!
Can someone explain why the guide want this ifo file? I also sent an e-mail to Doom9.org, and they told me to use the ifo file from Smartripper. But as I said - THAT DIDN'T WORK!
BTW, I've installed GordianKnot Installer package, Gordian Knot 0.26 update and DivX5 pro installer...
