Extracting subs from SVCD

The subs are entirely in the black letterbox border, so there HAS to be a way to extract them with standard OCR !

I was thinking about creating a VOB subtitle file from the mpeg stream so I could use SubRip. Would that be possible ? If so, how ? Do you have a better idea ?

You can use vob2sub to extract the subtitles from a mpeg file.

No, it doesn't work, the subs are entirely in the black bars, but they are still hardcoded, not in a dedicated stream
