Editing subtitle display times

On a DVD rip, I have used Vobsub to get my subtitles, and it works fine. Due to the not quite so good translation, some of the words are misspelt, and the subtitles do not stay up long enough to read. Is there a probram or method to change either one of these?

You can use SubResync to retime subs and also you can use it to convert it to srt or ssa which then you can edit the subs.
