View Full Version : No picture with VobSub2.14

Hi guys,

I just installed VobSub 2.14 and when I play movies (Divx 4.12) that don't contain subtitles (i.e. no ripped subtitles) I don't get a picture/video; only the sound comes out. When I play movies that have subtitles everything is fine. When I reinstall VobSub 2.09 I can play movies that have and don't have subtitles fine. What I notice when I get no picture is that there is 'static/snow' on the top 10% of my screen instead of the normal picture.

I used both BS player 0.84 and 0.85 with Win2k.

Has anyone else had this problem? What I am doing wrong?

Hello,

What happens if you remove the filter after building a graph in Graphedit? Does the problem disappear?

Graphedit? Sorry I don't know what that is and have never used it. I think the problem is that somehow the DirectVobSub2.14 is interfering with the directshow filter? I am pretty new to this stuff so I'm not sure. For now I am using VobSub2.09 to take care of the problem.

Is it the same in both overlay modes of bsplayer?

I posted a message in the GKnot section regarding ATI File Player not playing MP2's after GKnot 0.26 update. TheWEF suggested I install just VobSub 2.14 to see if that was the source of my problem. I did and that was the source of my problem. Does anyone know where I can down load a stand alone install of an older version until the new one sorts out? I've looked everywhere, but all links return to the 2.14 version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
