Vobsub extraction and display problem

Hi all,
I've used vobsub and directvobsub for subtitle extraction and display for 50+ dvds without problems, but I've just come across a vobsub / directvobsub problem: the extracted subtitle can't be displayed. The problem is that all different languages of the concerned dvd can't be displayed; the problem exist for vobsub / directvobsub 2.09-2.14. I've loaded the concerned subtitle with subresync, and instead of normal subtitle display, it shows a small rectangle with black background and some grey dots as foreground. As i've not come across the problem for other dvds, i guess the problem is somehow related to that two dvds(can i mention the name here?); but it has not problem for subtitle extraction / display using other programs like subrip. Do anyone experience this same problem before? Any suggestion to solve?

I have the same problem with one of my DVD's. No solution until now. I test the DVD with other aplications and they could extract the subtitles, only VobSub can't display the extracted subtitle.

No, i use the colors specified by the dvd.

Hehe, I meant to say "try to set custom colors and transparencies!". Because if vobsub wasn't able to detect the right color values then that could be a reason for the empty looking subpictures.

I try that option. The result is the same. I have try with all versions between 2.09-2.14 with the option and without.
This is not a big issue. I encounter this problem in only one DVD.

I overlooked and ignored you are the author of the GREAT vobsub program! It's really a wonderful program. Thank you for providing such a easy to use program! It save me a lot of time to have multiple non-embeded subtitle for each film without having to MOCR (manual ocr :P) them.

Concerning the problem above, i'm afraid it's not a simple color problem. For the two dvd concerned, when the subtitle is "displayed" (though nothing shows) in the ripped divx, there is some delay, and even sometimes hangs the powerdvd which is used the play the divx. It does not happen for other divx. I guess there is some more serious problem instead of the simple color problem.

Just as I thought. Set custom colors ON and uncheck the second, third and fourth checkbox under the color buttons (the first is for the background and should be left transparent).
