Hi,

I'm trying to play an .avi that has DivX 5 video & VBR MP3 audio, and show the subs from a .sub file using DirectVobsub.

The problem is this: If I try to play the movie using a standard player (Windows Media, PowerDivx, etc) I have subs, but the Video/Audio synch goes to hell.

Using the DivX Player that comes with DivX 5 synch works just fine, but I cannot have subs.

Is there any workaround?

Move the subs (temporarily) and try to play the movie with something besides the horrid DivX Player. If the audio is out of sync without any subs in WMP/PowerDivX/ZoomPlayer etc., then it is a shitty conversion and needs to be manually fixed. You can adjust the delay in Nandub, or it might need a slight framerate fix if the IVTC wasn't proper. Unfortantely, since the buggy DivX Player handles some async
files, people seem to think it's okay to make them ;).

Well, the audio is out of sync without any sub. But I didn't follow how to fix it.

I'll try with Nandub.

PS: It happened to me specially with many movies with VBR audio.
