View Full Version : How to make .bmp out of a .srt file?

I have created MY OWN subs with SubCreator and I converted them to .srt and then i used SubRip to convert them to I-Author script (.txt)... I wanted then to mux the subs with I-Author's muxer but it crashed at about 11913 packets(where the first sub should appear). I opened the script and saw this:

"BMPFILE: Okay, here he comes.

STARTTIME: 39.70

(etc,etc)

TIME: 41.89 DISABLE_OGT

************ Page #1 Finished ************"

I then created with ogt creator an other script with the dialogue above(and a couple two more), but as .bmp, so the script was looking like that:

""BMPFILE: 6060000.bmp

STARTTIME: 39.70

(etc,etc)

TIME: 41.89 DISABLE_OGT

************ Page #1 Finished ************"

I muxed the subs and the muxing went ok...

So my question is like that...

How do I make .bmps(Is impossible to rewrite the subs in Ogt creator)
with the subs that i have created with other programs?

Or why didn't the original script work and crashed my I-Author? Maybe it's because it looks for .bmp and not for phrases?

Thanks

The crash is probably due to the many I-Author bugs... Try with a lower bitrate.

But probably you will do better using SubCreator to output a .ssa file, converting it to OGT with MaestroSBT and then muxing with SubMux or WinSubMux (first one included in DVD2SVCD package). Use CVD format to make same-kind subtitles as I-Author, if the standars subtitles do not work in your player (I think you can put both in the stream, btw)
