i can't get the vobsub filter into "virtualdub filter addon..."

leave... you mean to delete it? in plugin dir? or system...

rename it to vobsub_vd.vdf??? don't understand?

Try to leave vobsub.dll in the system dir and use vobsub_vd.vdf.

...that is installed only, if you install DVobSub virtualdub plugin, not installed by default (doh... people, don't just hit "next" in installers, read the screen too!)
