I have several MKV files I've generated which have an irksome issue: the embedded Vobsub subtitles do not include any color/palette settings. The images are preserved correctly, but depending on the player that loads them the colors they are presented in can vary wildly (sometimes all white, sometimes all black, etc.) depending on the player's defaults.
Now I can fix this after a fashion, but it's a long process: I have to extract all of the subtitles individually to SUB/IDX pairs, manually edit the IDX files to contain the missing palette entry (and resolution while I'm at it), then re-mux them into a new MKV.
It would be much more convenient if I could just edit the MKV directly and add the missing palette information. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a program to do this. Does anyone happen to know of one?
