View Full Version : XySubfilter - font size changes based on video height?

I've got an annoying problem.

I use MPC-BE + madVR + XySubfilter. I have a bunch of 4K HDR video files that are all 3840 pixels wide, but have varying heights depending on the exact aspect ratio of the video, going all the way up to full 3840x2160 resolution.

The problem I can't seem to solve is that XySubfilter will scale subtitle font size based on the height of the video frame rather than the width. So all my videos display with different subtitle sizes even though I've selected a specific size and font.

If it matters, potentially relevant settings:

Force Default enabled under Main -> Text Settings

Use Original Video Size selected under More -> Renderer Layout Options

Unchecked Render to Original Video Size under More -> Renderer Layout Options

Checked Allow video renderer to reposition SSA/ASS subtitles

Any ideas how to get consistent font sizes for subtitles?

Use internal renderer of MPC and let it render relative to window instead of relative to video.
