Ok. What is best solution for refresh rate change? I only can find scripts which require nirsoft.

That is the best way currently. It works perfectly.

Yep, that is the best way. Change-refresh.lua and nircmd. Just add any missing refresh rates to changerefresh.conf. I've been using it for years now, works perfectly.

It works yes, but not perfect. The pause must be before playback starts, not start playback for a split of a second, change refresh rate, pause for the set seconds and continue.

But thank you very much. Finally I got it working, but I stick with MPC-BE with MPC-VR, madVR and LAV Filters and Kodi.

I use tv-box on s905 with kodi (corelec 9.2.0)
I need quality hdr to sdr conversion (madvr like)
Can I install this player? or anyone else?

No, not that I'm aware of. You'll need a PC.

Many of you are already aware of it (I recognized a few names on the JRiver forum) bur JRiver now has created its own in-house renderer called JRVR, actively developed by Hendrik/nevcairel (LAV filters) :
Here's an updated thread on JRVR:
https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,135621.0.html

Support for custom shaders was recently added. Requires MC 31.0.50 or higher.

mpv is one of the least user friendly software I've met in my whole life.

On Windows you can use mpv.net (https://github.com/stax76/mpv.net) which has a context menu. I will soon build a complete new settings dialog and add many rendering settings. For anything beyond that, feel free to make a feature request.

Glad to hear of your recovery!

Hi, couple of quick questions please :

- Does the JRiver Renderer (JRVR) have RTX Super Resolution support now? Is it planned?
- Conversely, since MPC Video Renderer does have RTX Super Resolution support, are you able to use MPC Video Renderer with JRiver Media Player?

Thanks, I am hunting for a new video player since ZoomPlayer is only 32bit

You should be able to pipe it in since it's a standalone (experimental version with RTX).

On-topic, I also have found nothing better than madVR. mpv is neat and can do a lot, but its chroma bilateral has been much inferior to madVR's for some reason. Its highest quality scaler/doubler is also not as good as NGU, but it is cheaper. You can probably be happy with either. I choose the one that has good Windows menus for settings. But mpv.net is a decent contender.

Are you going to put all the tone-mapping options from libplacebo into the GUI?

Forgive me if they are already there.

I will check out your latest mpv.net but not until the new year when I am home and have time.

Right now the thing I really want to see is a player that can retrieve the DiscId from a Blu-Ray and so it could be possible to create a profile just for that disc !!

I created a feature request ticket on the tracker here:

https://github.com/mpvnet-player/mpv.net/issues/624

There is a subscribe button to get notifications.

There are file specific options documented here:

https://mpv.io/manual/master/#file-specific-configuration-files

I don't know if it works for opening Blu-ray and DVD directly.

You can also ask here:

Hi Stax, I had nice quick chat with someone from the mpv team a few days ago on their rss feed. Sorry, I forgot his nickname, but he said in order to retrieve the DiscId something needs an update that hadn't been touched in quite some time. So, I hope that this work will be done sometime next year and then please put it into mpvnet so then I could abandone MPC-BE as my go-to-player.

Merry christmas everyone at doom9 !!

I recently added libplacebo tone-mapping options, please let me know what else video and rendering related features you miss.
