View Full Version : IDX/SUB - change framerate and timings without conversion

I have an IDX/SUB subtitle and I need to change the framerate from 25 to 23,976, make all subtitles appear 1 second earlier and then make a selected bunch of them appear an additional second earlier.
I don't want to convert the subtitle in any way as it seems that positions and styling would always be lost.

But I can't find any tool to do that.
Subresync is a mystery to me. It doesn't even seem to come with any documentation whatsoever.

Subtitle Edit seems to refuse to do anything without OCRing the subtitle (and adding tons of mistakes in the process...) first.

SubtitleCreator does exactly what I want. But it screws up the subtitle somehow.

The background is actually transparent and the characters have a black outline. Before the program touches the subtitle that is.

Apparently what I call the background is actually the "Outline".

Changing the background values does nothing at all.
Even with editing the IDX file manually I can't seem to get the black outline around each character.

So are there any other tools I couldn't find yet?

Nevermind.
I opened the subtitle with BDSup2Sub and saved it without changing anything. The new file can be used with SubtitleCreator without problems.
