The program has a help menu. Apart from that, it's pretty simple and self-explanatory to do that conversion.

Search the subtitle forum for "shadow", I'm sure something comes up.

Hi

I'm currently looking for exact the same thing. I have tested both and they generate working subtitles. But there is an issue. If I have a line with a g. q, p . etc. - letters which goes under the writing line the entire subtitle is placed higher then lines without these letters. Is there a tool which does not suffer from this?

I use tsMuxer to generate Romanian characters and it goes well.
Another tool that uses Unicode (as the ANSI letters are WRONG) is easySUP from Dean, the author of multiAVCHD (which itself is good to do it).
Both are so good that I generate BD subtitles and downconvert them to DVD, better than most specific DVD subtitlers.

BTW, the family txt2sub/sup/etc suffer from not being able to interpret italics and bold, not even at line syntax.

I loaded subtitles in Aegisub choose style and converted in to .Sup with PunkGraphicStream 0.7.2 after I load in BDSup2Sub511 and change FPS from 24 to 23.976 and other adjustments after muxez with tsMuxerGUI in Ts, m2ts, AVCHD and Blu-ray and with mkvmerge GUI muxez in mkv.
But I'm not satisfied must more ajustament.

Complicated method.

Besides PGS uses 24/1.001 by default (as one of its options) according to its thread here.

PS: strange, I never noticed the cropping of the shadow on my subtitles. I'll check them ASAP.
