View Full Version : MaestroSBT erases manual positions after reloading?

I'm using MaestroSBT-Unicode-2.6.2.1 right now, I used to use an older version which worked fine for me but they don't take Aegisub-generated .ssa files, and since I can't install SubStation Alpha on my OS, I'm using v2.6.2.1 now.

The problem that I have is that whenever I use manual position, it writes it into the .ssa file, I can see it in the preview and everything, but once I reload the .ssa file in MaestroSBT, it erases all the manual position I've worked on and resets everything.

Is there a way to fix this? I know it's no longer developed and the creator's kind of MIA so I don't know what I can do about it.

All I can think of is that the changed file didn't get saved, or that the file you reloaded isn't the one with the changes. Admittedly I have 2.6.0.0 - where did you download this version?

Alternatively, as a work-around could you perhaps make the required changes in the .ssa source before the time? Or in parallel on a new copy, as you discover the need for new changes while working in MaestroSBT.

Cheers,
Francois

Apparently it was released 2 years ago, check videohelp.com

I should have thought of that, <blush>! Thanks.

I did download this from VideoHelp, and actually I checked the the .ssa file in notepad after manually positioning the subs with MaestroSBT. It seems that when I save it with MaestroSBT, the changes are saved in the file. But then when I re-load the file, everything is reset and the manual positioning disappears.

I just checked and I don't get this problem with 2.6.0.0. Dumb question, but did you leave the respective subtitles' Manual position box checked? And I assume you didn't go Settings > Remove MaestroSBT settings from SSA file, because you can see the changes in Notepad afterwards.
