Does anyone understand the MCC caption format? I have a white paper by CPC that describes it (attached), but i find it pretty cryptic. I found mcpoodle's pages on the SCC format very helpful and was hoping there was some way to duplicate this for the MCC format? I would like to create a way to make these text files, however, I don't quite understand how it works as compared to the SCC format. MCC is used for HD broadcast captions (CEA 708). Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong forum, but thought someone may be able to help me. This would be invaluable to many independent video producers who need to provide HD captions for broadcast.
