Dfxp in avisynth

I'm looking for a workflow to hard sub .dfxp files in avisynth.

I believe I've found ways to use VSFilter to hard sub .ssa, .sub, or .srt using vsfilter, or other tools. (I think...)

How does one convert a dfxp to .ssa so it can be hard subbed?
