stream with forced subs -> 2 separate streams

hi,

i have some dvd with subtitle stream with forced flags. dvd shrink can't create a separate subtitle stream only with the forced subs. this should be possible with makemkv, but it doesn't work with my dvds.

the best way to mux dvd subtitle into matroska is makemkv (in dont want to encode a/v, only mux). so i'm lokking for a tool that can create a separate sub-stream and output the files with dvd structur. after that i can use makemkv to create mkv.

any idea for windows or linux?

use this tool to check if there are forced subs. i can export sup, but the subs are not readable by other tool. i'm lokking for a tool that can create 2 streams with matroska- or dvd-output - something like makemkv or dvd shrink.

i know, that i can modify the subs, i.e. changing the color. but i don't find anything in the guide to split a sub-stream with forced subs to 2 stream.

it seams it don't work with dvdsubedit. i found nothing in the manual that helps with my problem.

Note that DVDSubEdit can’t be used to select a given stream in the DVD, or to turn subtitles on or off.

So if Shrink uses the whole stream and subs are turned to off shouldn't your player only show those items that are flagged as forced?

yes, if i start playing with the video_ts.ifo. but i want to mux the dvd to matroska and subs mit forced flag don't work in matroska with the most player. so the best way is to create a separate substream.
