Blueray Subs Which One

Looking at this info from the Bluray source using eac3to,
three different english subs, how do i know which one to go for ?

Best bet is to run bdsup2sub on each of those and look at the bitmaps - that may help you decide!

If it looks like dialog from the movie then that's probably what you're looking for.

Yup, there's dialog, then there's "for hearing impaired", there could be a "forced" subtitle track, next there can be a commentary track, finally I've seen special e.g. karaoke-type subs also.

You just gotta look at each.

Subtitle files are usually extremely small, so that the simplest thing, if possible, is to keep ALL of them - no guessing or testing required ;>}

so will ORC them and run them against the movie dialog .
or look at them with a text editor.

If you pull them into BDSup2Sub it should be obvious which ones are all the dialog for the film and which are forced subs. For example the forced subs for Star Trek movie is only a few lines.

Subtitles aren't always marked as forced. Sometimes you just know they are forced because there aren't many of them. It's one of those subtitle gotcha's. That's why the author of MakeMKV doesn't label subs as forced since there's no real way to automate making that determination.
