would like to know which tool would be best to use for removing certain lines (e.g. hearing impaired stuff "(...)" ) from blu-ray subtitle files (PGS subs in .sup file format)? otherwise the file should stay the same so that it can be muxed inside .mkv files. (it also needs to have a search function either normal for any character or for hearing impaired stuff, not going through each line manually)

You'd need a tool capable of OCRing like Supedit but I haven't seen one that automatically removes all this stuff.
