I have a project requiring real-time OCR, and noticed that user mof777 on this forum as already done some work in this area. Unfortunately, mof777 hasn't visited the forum in about a year, and hasn't responded to PM.

Does anyone know how to reach user mof777? Or perhaps is other forum members are familiar with this technology?

Please reply by PM.

Well, I'm looking for someone who is familiar with the algorithms and software methods for implementing real-time OCR of Bluray and DVD subtitles. As I mentioned, the project posted a few years back by user mof777 is a good example of this. I'm only interested in scanning English subtitles for now, although would be interested in other languages in the future. This scanning would be done on the raw subtitle images, not the overlayed video. Details such as OS, platform, memory and available CPU resources, etc. are open for now and subject to discussion.

I would be interested in either a consultant to provide part time guidance, and/or someone who could actually do the implementation once specified.
