View Full Version : Forced subs?

While trying to back up body of lies and centurion, i have the .sub files but cant seem to get the forced subs to show up, i have tried suprip and BDSup2Sub, both of which shows there are no forced subs there.

If i play the m2ts files the forced subs show up. Using suprip on Centurion gives me a srt file, but where the forced subs should appear it shows (speaking in pictish), which obviously isnt what i need.

As for body of lies, it gives me all the subtitles but i dont really want to have to sit and watch the film, writing down the times when the forced subs show up.

I have been googling for the last few days and have tried any and all suggestions i can to sort this little issue out, but have had no luck. Is there anyone here who can offer any advise

edit: after doing Centurion, seems the pictish subs are there, guess they were in with the stream, will try body of lies and see what happens

Hi!

Sounds like there may be SEPARATE, ADDITIONAL (smaller) subtitle streams, rather than flagging specific subtitles as forced within a primary subtitle stream.

On centurion is there only 1 sub file on the whole bluray, after encoding it the subs where they speak pictish are there, after doing some reading it seems some place interweave them with the stream

BDSup2Sub has a similar facility to show ONLY forced subtitles...

I did, and nothing showed up, before, during, or after i had ocr'd the whole sub file with SupRip, same with BDSup2Sub - Avatar on the other hand worked flawlessly, as did District 9, as it has 4 subs in it one of which only has the forced ones in it :-)
