My favorite old timer Subtitle Workshop was giving me some hard trouble with HD Mkv's under windows XP, under Windows 7 I'm left with nothing decent.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Aegisub (http://www.aegisub.org/)?

Trying. Not as straight forward as subtitle workshop maybe it was too many years with it.

Thanks.

All the best,

Maybe this tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6zXR6Bg7fU) will help you - it contains quite some tricks to get timing done fast. The manual (http://docs.aegisub.org/manual/Audio_Timing_Tutorial) also seems to be not that bad.

All the best,

SharroIf you enable "Raw video" processing in ffdshow Video decoder configuration (bottom of the Codecs page), you'll be able to work w/ MKVs inside Subtitle Workshop.

That "Reading into RAM" takes ages even if I'm just working with audio :-(

But I'm still learning...

Thanks for the help.

Well, did you try the ffdshow workaround to make SW work w/ MKVs?
