View Full Version : How can I make forced subtitles sticky?

My configuration is WMC & Gabest splitter for mkv files. I have installed VS Filter version 2.39 and can select & display both forced and full subtitles. What I cannot do is to set VS Filter to default to 'Forced Subs'

I have checked the box for forced titles and even though the check box stays checked, every time a film starts, it defaults to full subs. Even if I pause a film and then start it again, my forced setting is swapped for full subs.

Can anyone help me out with a solution? I have scoured the net but I do not see anyone else with this issue.

Have you tried older versions of DirectVobSub?
I'm still using the "outdated" 2.33, because (at least to myself)
it is less buggy than 2.37 and 2.39.

I did try a version dated 2005 but it had the same issue and in addition did not show subtitles reliably. I'm just wondering if Media Foundation could be causing the problem?
