What's wrong with WMP? (6.4 i mean, i know 7 is crap) Does it take more CPU power than other players or something? I realize that some people have a need for ZoomPlayer because of the easy resizing and whatnot, but I just play video in full-screen mode.

I use wmp 6.4 since the beginning and it never gives me any problem, it's efficient, and simple to use, nothing much to ask from a movie player. However the other version of wmp (above 6.4) are pure shi@t.
I tried sasami2k a while ago and although it is very bugged, I really like it's interface and the ability to to "browse" into the movie in fullscreen mode. Other than that, it is no superior to wmp 6.4 :p, there are a lot of options but most of them are just artifacts imo. I might give another try when some of its issues will be fixed.
wmp 6.4 is king for me but since you people praise BSplayer so much (that I've never heard about) I might as well give a try ;) TY

I wanted to bump this and ask if there have been any major DivX player upgrades. I've been content using WMP 6.4 and DVDSubber if i wanted to overlay subtitles from a sub script, but I wanted to know if there are any players that would be reason enough to switch.

I also use WMP v6.4. I like the huge (thus precise) seekbar in fullscreen, which hides automaticly. I sometimes use PowerDivX NextGen.

about sasami2k...
The dev is actually halted since one year... ;;
Some features are buggy of course, but once you know which one you
shouldn't enable it's all good. ( like enabling 'auto' supersampling..., cause of 90% of the crash...)
For the guy who can be confused by the inverted image ,
ctrl+F11 is your friend...
The other nice option of s2k is the aspect ratio control, which allow to bypass dummy encoders ^^.
I just hope that one day the korean guy who coded s2k (God bless him) will release the source... or make it gnu... or sourceforge...
