Vobsob in A vcd?

is it possible to insert a vobsub subtitle into an avi movie. I got the vobsub title but i want to make it into a vcd to play it on my dvd. or could i insert the subtitle in after i convert it into mpg? any suggestions?

You could put the subtitles into your file during the encoding to MPG(VCD Format). You can use VirtualDub for this www.virtualdub.org .
You will need to install the Vobsub virtualdub filter.
Open your source file in virtualdub. Apply the Vobsub filter. Follow the instructions required for Vobsub. Frameserve to your favorite encoder.
