I've tried to use MKVextract to extract the subtitle streams (idx/sub) from the mkv file, but it seems that there is a problem with the mkv file itself. It only extracts the subtitles partially (i.e. first 40 Minutes only). I'm wondering if there is a solution for this problem. By the way, I can play the mkv file without any problems.

Hi!
Just go back to the original source material you used to create the MKV (DVD, BD, HD, etc.) and extract the subtitle streams from that instead.
BTW - Why do you have to extract the subtitle streams?

Hi setarip_old,
The original was a BD which I gave it as a present to one of my friends (who is no longer available where I live).
I need the subtitle in the mkv file because I have the DVD for the same movie, but the subtitle from the BD isn't there in the DVD, so I thought about inserting the subtitle into the DVD.
