PodPis filter for virtualdub not working(subtitles from avi)

I tried PodPis filter for VirtualDub and it works great. It creates a .idx and a .sub file, and their size grow during the process, but once the process stops, their sizes return to 0 KB, and they are useless. If I copy them during the process and open them with SubResync, nothing happens.
Any ideas how to solve this problem? (this would help me the most!)

PodPis plug-in is very old and useless for me. You can try SubRip (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/subrip/SubRip_150b4.zip?modtime=1162889086&big_mirror=0) or very powerful tool AviSubDetector (http://www.videohelp.com/download/AVISubDetector_english.zip) for hard-burned subtitles. I wish you good luck and a lot of patience for this work. :)
