I suppose you're talking about SubRip ... there's no such thing as a matrix for a language.

What makes a matrix created from a DVD compatible with the subtitles of another DVD is not the language, but the font used in the making of the DVD subtitles themselves.

From the http://zuggy.wz.cz/ frontpage:

I've also posted my char matrix (http://foxyshadis.slightlydark.com/random/CharMatrix.rar). It works for some 90% of the DVDs I've seen. Be sure to set the OCR sensitivity high (1000) when using it. See additional instructions in my post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=679590#post679590
) on the Doom9 forum.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your kinda help! It really helps me and now it's ripping the subtitle off DVD easily :)

By the way, where do I set the OCR sensitivity?

€dit: There is a problem.

What should I put here?

Options -> Advanded OCR Setup.

What did you enter for the previous character? Did it auto-choose ° ? I would fill in % for this and then remind my self to correct it later.

I put nothing. I entered that line manually. Not just that line, like a few more lines that have % since I didn't enter anything for it.

Oh FYI, my OCR was 1000

When you say "I'll remind myself to fix it later" how will you fix it later? I mean is there a solution you already know and that let's you only fix it after everything is done?

:thanks:

I mean I edit the file that Subrip produces but this does assume you are saving it as a text format. Subrip does have a correction feature but I don't know if it would pick up on this.
