When I last used subrip I found that one of the controls (it might be the >> button) expanded the box. You do this until it encloses all of the character then provide the value.

In your pictures, the two buttons after the "Use" button can shrink and expand the selection (red rectangle).
But you have some bigger problem with some of your settings. Try deleting the SubRip.ini file in the programs directory. It will be recreated with default values.

For these bad detection i gave "Skip Sub Picture".
For Unnecessary space between letters i increased "Space Width Setup".
But a small problem there was no small letter " l " in some words. I also made correction before saving but still the problem was not able to Solve.

My eyes might be misleading me, but the font of the source seems too thin to me. (I'm not sure what to do in such cases).

Try raising to 1000 (max) the sensibility of the OCR Engine Setup (in "Advanced OCR Setup").

It is already in 1000 only.

If the ' l ' is missing, I think I have to agree with GrofLuigi, the font could be too thin and that makes the OCR miss or mistake the characters ... I don't think there's much more to try :(

To solve this problem temporarily, just enter the line manually and you'll get a correct subtitle for now.
