I'm in doubt about if i should use VSFilter or ffdshow's sub-filter for displaying subs in MPC...

I have read many state that VSFilter is better than ffdshow's sub-filter, but rarely they give any specific reasons for it, and also i can see from the ffdshow tryouts SVN repository, that the sub-filter has gone through a bunch of fixes/improvements for some time now by h_yamagata and others...

So, if some of you guys could please answer a couple of questions for me, then i would very much appreciate it, thanks...

1: Why do you preffer VSFilter over ffdshow's sub-filter ?

2. Do you think that VSFilter is better than ffdshow's sub-filter also when just SRT subs are concerned ? (i only use SRT subs myself...)

Thank's in advance...

Both should be ok with SRT. For more advanced subtitle formats you need to use VSFilter, because ffdshow has no full implementation.
