View Full Version : Convert NTSC timings to PAL?

Is there an easy way to do this? I've ripped some hardcoded subtitles from an NTSC source (92 mins) and want to add them to a PAL source (96 mins).

I read somewhere that Subtitle Creator can do it, but I can't seem to work out how, or find any guide that explains the process.

Edited to add that I must have been having a brainstorm as when I looked at it again I found the option easily. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's used this function though - does it produce good results?

From the information you've provided I think there is something wrong. A movie is getting shorter while play on a PAL source so if your NTSC source is shorter than your PAL source then I guess they are of different versions.

Generally if your subtitles are in srt or idx+sub format you can easily adjust them using SubResync. I myself have written a basic program to convert 30 frames to 25 frames when I am manipulating son files.

I'd second the subresync recommendation - as you don't mention the subtitle format you used, just modify the start & ending times with subresync and you should be fine.
